Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. 1. Uses microscope and taxonomic keys to Identify insects from various samples (Training provided). 2. Pins and curates insect specimens for PDA insect reference collection. 3. Enters data from samples into required databases. 4. Assists entomology staff with survey equipment management. 5. Other entomology related duties as may be required. 6. Maintain a laboratory log of activities. 7. Demonstrate a commitment to meeting and exceeding expectations of the bureau/program’s customer(s) at all times. 8. Apply Lean tool(s) to day-to-day tasks when a process has been identified for improvement. 9. Perform all other duties as assigned or required. |
