Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Primary focus is ensuring delivered products meet Lottery’s needs through product, project, vendor and escalation management. Oversee project from start to finish coordinating efforts of IT, Lottery, other stakeholders and vendor to aligning project/product execution with strategic vision. This position acts as the “gatekeeper” on select Lottery vendor contracts ensuring the proper utilization while addressing issues and concerns. Tracks project schedules, identifies risks and issues, and develops mitigation plans, including planning, scheduling, risk management, resource allocation, and communication with stakeholders. Oversees project delivery. Manages related resources, ensures appropriate change management is in place, and delivers results while ensuring delivered product meets customer needs and business goals. Subject matter expert in utilization of lean methodologies to optimize workflow and apply lean principles to process improvement and project management. Experienced practitioner in ensuring Information Technology best practices related to Service Delivery, Security, DevOps and Data Management are appropriately utilized on projects. Provides operational insight to legal team as new policies, regulations, suggested laws or proposed changes to legislation arise. Demonstrates expert problem-solving skills providing detailed analysis and clearly defined solution options for executive management. Oversees User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts and ensures deliverables meet acceptance criteria prior to implementation into production. Works with Lottery users to ensure functionality of hardware and software effectively supports staff’s work objectives (Sales, Marketing, Security, Drawing Staff, Internal Audit) Analyzes vendor reports on project metrics associated with the corresponding work efforts to ensure compliance. Identifies and measures contract Service Level Agreements infractions, liquidated damages and other contractual obligations by working with Director of Contract Compliance. Prepares reports of project status for Lottery management, stakeholders and the Executive Office. Schedules, organizes and leads status update meetings as necessary or required by Lottery Executive Office and Revenue Executive Office. Performs full range of supervisory duties. Demonstrates a commitment to the service-oriented culture of the Department. Applies Lean thinking in day-to-day tasks. Is mindful of internal controls and risk management when changes are made to a process. Promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Performs other duties as required. |
