Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Responsible for providing security of the detention barn by checking all individuals entering the barn and ensuring they are properly licensed and not allowing unauthorized people to enter the barn. Responsible for ensuring samples are securely locked. Assists the state veterinarian at the end of each days races to ensure samples are safe and the building is properly secured. Ensure test barn is opened and facility is ready for veterinary staff. Performs other duties necessary as deemed by the supervisor when personnel shortages occur. Tags horses in the paddock area that are designated for testing in the Detention Barn Notifies the Veterinarian Medical Field Officer (VMFO) or Livestock worker 2 (LW2) of any claimed horses designated for testing in the Detention Barn. Delineates which horses are claimed tests so the appropriate paperwork can be completed by the LW2 and VMFO in the Detention Barn. Must obtain a Commission Employee License after hired. |
