Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

This position is responsible for supporting the Game Commission’s Hunter Trapper Education (HTE), and Hunter Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) programs by performing tasks including, but not limited to, conducting HTE classes and coordinating with HTE volunteers, managing warehouse inventory, and assisting with HTE, R3, and public outreach events.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

•Assist the hunter education and outreach division with daily operations and administration of HTE and R3 programs.

•Assist the HTE program administrator to coordinate and teach HTE courses and HTE volunteer instructor trainings.

•Work with HTE Administrator to oversee and manage hunter education inventory and warehouse space. This includes the upkeep and maintenance of all training equipment, including but not limited to firearms, bows, crossbows, traps, projectors, and laptops.

•Work with the HTE Program Administrator to order and keep stock of all consumable materials needed for hunter-trapper education courses including tests, manuals, ammunition, videos, personal protection equipment, and other safety handouts.

•Tend to the hunter education and outreach division phonelines and emails to address incoming hunter education and R3 program inquiries and requests in timely manner.

•Assist HTE volunteer instructors with setting up classes, obtaining necessary training materials and supplies, securing class locations, and recruiting additional volunteers to host classes as needed.
•Assist HTE students find and register for hunter education courses near them.

•Update and maintain both digital and physical records of all forms, waivers, and other documents associated with HTE.

•Attend and assist with HTE courses, R3 events, and other public outreach events, including multi-day mentored hunts, beginner trapping events, and beginner firearm shooting events.

•Perform other related duties as required.

Essential Functions
