Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

This position performs analytical, administrative, and program support work to the Department of Banking and Securities Financial Education, Protection, and Outreach Office.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

•Reviews and evaluates investor education programs and outreach initiatives to determine their impact and extent to which the goals and objectives are being met. Work involves participating in strategic planning for the Financial Education, Protection, and Outreach Office by reviewing, researching, analyzing data, and making recommendations to increase efficiency, improve service, and/or provide cost savings.

•Assists with the management, coordination, and support of investor education projects, initiatives, and awareness campaigns. Makes recommendations for new initiatives.

•Prepares data collection tools and gathers information through consumer surveys, research, agency contacts, and system queries to support program evaluation and development.

•Creates specialized infographics, custom visual graphs, and reports based on outreach activity and consumer evaluations to communicate and analyze findings and trends.

•Meets with program staff to discuss program issues, including identifying areas in the Commonwealth that are undeserved or underrepresented on the outreach map and recommending venues and/or partnerships to address outreach gaps.

•Uses research techniques to collect and analyze information needed to recommend changes or improvements in investor education program delivery. Reviews program evaluation results and compiles findings into written reports.

•Examines investor education database, press releases, and event documentation to identify and correct missing or inconsistent information, duplicate records, and other data issues.

•Develops agency publications and educational materials, which include content development, information gathering, and design. Tracks inventory and orders reprints and supplies as needed.

•Reviews presentation requests to determine the feasibility of the request along with what resources are necessary, and what individuals should be involved. Assists in reviewing new legislation related to requested presentation topics.

•Assesses consumer inquiries to provide accurate program information, assists in resolving scheduling or logistical issues affecting outreach activities, and identifies potential partnerships or outreach opportunities based on data trends and program needs.

•Reviews all materials intended to be shared with the public.

•Coordinates and delivers presentations on investor protection to a variety of audiences using established program materials. Conducts research on investment-related topics to support presentations and consumer education.

•Suggests content for trainings, outreach, and different communication platforms based on data collection from customer feedback.

•Makes recommendations for policy or procedures based on review of materials and feedback received from customers.

•Responds to inquiries from the public and provides information related to investor education programs and outreach efforts.

•Maintains and updates consumer database contact lists to track engagement and increase program attendance. Coordinates with staff to schedule events and presentations.

•Communicates and collaborates with partner organizations, such as volunteer groups, consumer-oriented organizations, and state and federal agencies to support outreach and program initiatives.

•Performs other related duties as required.

The position evaluates program and outreach data to identify errors, gaps, or inconsistencies; selects appropriate methods for data collection and analysis; and determines how best to present program information through draft reports, infographics, and visual summaries. The position determines relevant content for draft presentations and publications and develops recommendations for program improvements, which are reviewed by the supervisor.
