Position Purpose:

This position is a Human Services Licensing Representative for the Bureau of Human Services Licensing. This position is responsible for conducting inspections for the purpose of enforcing state laws and regulations governing the licensing of personal care homes and assisted living residences to ensure the health, safety and well-being of personal care home and assisted living residence residents.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

Conducts initial, annual, interim, provisional follow-up and monitoring inspections of personal care homes and assisted living residences, predominately in an assigned geographic area, with a high degree of independence and discretion, as assigned and in accordance with applicable statutes, regulations, policies and procedures, to determine compliance with state laws and regulations related to the licensing of personal care homes and assisted living residences.

Conducts complaint and incident inspections, with a high degree of independence and discretion, as assigned and in accordance with applicable statutes, regulations, policies and procedures, to investigate the factual circumstances related to the complaint or incident, in order to determine compliance with applicable state laws and regulations.

7. Decides if regular or provisional license should be issued.
