Position Purpose:

The Coordinator of Visibility and Digital Strategy (Deputy Digital Director) is responsible for translating Pennsylvania Creative Industries' strategic framework and key areas of investment into public facing digital communications and promotions. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring that the agency’s digital presence is innovative, effective, and aligned with the Commonwealth’s communications mission.

The position promotes Pennsylvania Creative Industries as the state’s lead creative industries agency, elevates the sector’s role in Pennsylvania’s economy and quality of life, and manages the agency’s digital platforms, branding, and public visibility initiatives.



Description of Duties:

Core Functions:
• Champion Pennsylvania Creative Industries as the Commonwealth’s central creative industries agency.
• Develop materials and strategies to promote creative industries as a vital driver of economic growth, community well-being, and opportunity.
• Establish and oversee the agency’s digital presence—including website, social media, and branding—ensuring clear communication of mission, vision, and objectives.
• Support the planning and execution of public events that advance the agency’s visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Communications:
• Develop and manage the agency’s digital communications program and long-term strategy.
• Create and maintain the agency’s digital communications plan and branding guide.
• Assist with multi-agency digital projects to ensure statewide alignment.

2. Website & Content Management:
• Serve as the agency’s website editor, including development of a content approval process, and ensuring adherence to Commonwealth standards for web presence.
• Monitor and analyze website performance, ensuring accessibility, usability, and alignment with agency goals.

3. Social Media & Digital Engagement:
• Develop and manage the agency’s social media presence, including strategies for effective engagement to further PA Creative Industries’ key areas of investment.
• Design and produce digital content—including graphics and videos—for web and social platforms.
• Recommend and lead digital campaigns to expand visibility and reach.

4. Analytics & Reporting:
• Track, interpret, and report on web and social media analytics.
• Use data insights to evaluate effectiveness and refine future strategies.

5. Branding & Creative Direction:
• Serve as the agency’s creative director, developing and maintaining digital branding guides.
• Ensure all communications, including digital and print, consistently reflect the agency’s mission, vision, and brand.

6. Collaboration:
Works closely with agency leadership. Work is reviewed by the Council’s Deputy Executive Director and the Governor’s Office liaison for Digital Strategy for effectiveness and alignment with the agency and commonwealth’s digital communications strategy.

7. Public Relations & Events:
• Assist in the planning and execution of public events, announcements, and visibility initiatives.
