Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. This position owns the end-to-end content strategy and execution for Fine Wine & Good Spirits’ (FW&GS) e-commerce website FWGS.com, ensuring alignment with marketing and business goals. Key responsibilities include managing the review and maintenance of all content on FWGS.com; developing a content calendar; and creating engaging copy and page layouts, all with customer journey, accessibility and search engine optimization (SEO) at the forefront. The role requires using Oracle Commerce Cloud to build website pages and publish content. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Develops and maintains a digital content calendar for FWGS.com, which creates a cadence for website content updates. Collaborates with analytics, e-commerce and marketing personnel to create reports to track website performance. Regularly analyzes sales and engagement numbers to recommend improvements and make modifications to site content. Uses Oracle Commerce Cloud software suite (or similar) to build webpages and enter, publish and maintain content on the website on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis. Is familiar with computer languages such as HTML. Creates FWGS.com promotional and seasonal marketing content, including writing copy, selecting components for page layout and requesting images. Content is created in conjunction with content calendar, to promote products, brands, events, lotteries, sales and other marketing initiatives. Monitors SEO performance, ensuring content is written to enhance search results via keywords, tagging and other tactics to improve search rankings, competitiveness and the customer experience. Makes strategic recommendations to improve SEO performance on FWGS.com. Works with digital asset manager on images for FWGS.com, ensuring content and images display properly, identifying missing images and ensuring images effectively support product promotions and marketing efforts. Collaborates with brand manager to ensure all FWGS.com content follows branding, and style guides and promotes a positive brand representation. Works closely with editors, designers and IT team to ensure website content, layout, navigation and page structure follow the FW&GS style guide, promotes accessibility, optimizes user experience and drives conversions. Maintains accuracy of the FWGS.com style guide, content policy and procedure documents, working with appropriate parties to update documents when changes are warranted. Instructs and advises third-party vendors on FWGS.com style guide. Works with Digital Marketing and E-commerce Chief to ensure product names are correct and follow established naming conventions. Also works to affirm product attributes are accurate and products are assigned to the correct catalogs on FWGS.com. Contributes to FW&GS digital marketing strategy planning and collaborates with social media, email marketing and in-store marketing teams on content development to increase consumer engagement and drive sales on FWGS.com. Supports E-commerce, IT, Store Operations and others in conducting system testing, as needed. Monitors key performance indicators such as click-through rates, bounce rates, page views, cart abandonment and conversion rates to continuously refine and optimize content strategies. Brings strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, including merchandising content, product categorization and seasonal strategies to drive online sales. Manages urgent and time-sensitive content updates and changes, especially in response to product availability, promotions and operational needs. Performs other duties as necessary. |
