Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This position performs timely and accurate entry of data and conducts routine communications related to wildlife research projects, hunter harvest reports, disease monitoring efforts, and various surveys, all of which are important to short- and long-term wildlife management analysis and decision making and to constituent service. In addition, clerical and office support is provided to all program areas within the Bureau of Wildlife Management to ensure operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Accurately and efficiently enter source document data from wildlife research projects and from various wildlife population, health, and harvest surveys and incidents into appropriate databases using a computer and associated interactive software. Provide timely notifications of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) test results to hunters and others submitting diagnostic samples. Respond to routine informational inquiries regarding CWD and the Game Commission's response to the disease. Refer more complex inquiries to biologists in the Bureau's CWD Section. Enter harvest report cards and accept and record other harvest reports from hunters. In consultation with other Division staff, correct errors on reports and troubleshoot reports with questionable data. Enter data from human dimensions surveys conducted by the Bureau into the PGC survey system. Prepare documents for entry by resolving inconsistencies and reviewing data for errors using standard data entry procedures. Request further information for documents |

Work is assigned verbally and / or in writing by Wildlife Operations Division Chief in consultation with other Bureau of Wildlife Management supervisory staff. Significant coordination also occurs with the Reports and Data Management Coordinator and other non-supervisory staff. Work is reviewed by supervisors in progress and upon completion for attainment of program goals, objectives, and priorities and for technical accuracy and quality. |
