Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

This position is responsible for the Incident Management Unit within the, Division of Participant Supports, Bureau of Coordinated and Integrated Services, Office of Long Term Living, Dept of Human Services. The Incident Management Unit Supervisor is responsible for planning and direction of the Incident Management Unit, reviewing and evaluating performance objectives and making recommendations for policies and procedures. The Incident Management Unit Supervisor oversees a team of nurses, social workers and Human Service Program Specialists.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

1. Reports directly to the Division Director of Participants Supports on trends analysis, policy recommendations, status of outstanding incidents and staffing concerns.
2. Responsible for hiring, training and supervising the Incident Management team, documenting procedures and preparing training materials as necessary.
3. Reviews, analyzes, evaluates and revises program objectives, policies, standard operating procedures. Recommends changes to waiver amendments and renewals as appropriate.
4. Develops and maintains weekly and monthly reporting of critical incidents to identify trends, report on performance measures and evaluate any need for changes to policy or procedure
5. Oversee participation on DHS committees such as those related to incidents, preventable deaths, hard-to-place/complex cases, system upgrades
6. Direct the provision of technical assistance to managed care organizations, service coordination entities, Areas Agency on Aging and other stakeholders on the management and reporting of critical
