Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Coordinates and prepares timely written responses to County Programs/AEs, SCOs, and Provider Agencies, individuals and families, and Central Office as necessary and/or assigned. Completes case reviews to assure that services are authorized and provided in compliance with Consolidated, Community Living, Person/Family Directed Supports Waivers, 6100 Regulations, the AE Operating Agreement and all other ODP Bulletins and Policies. These reviews consist of both in-office and on-site record reviews, as well as surveys with families and self-advocates. Evaluates the quality of community ID/A programs and services through reviews, on-site visits, observation and interviews to assure that consumer needs are being met in an appropriate and effective manner. Participates in the development of policy related to intellectual disability programs through the review of draft Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) bulletins and information communications, focus group participation and committee work. Serves as Duty Officer on a rotating basis which involves review and approval of incident reports submitted by the AEs, SCOs, and Providers as well as addressing complaints and concerns directed to the Northeast Region ODP office. Provides oversight of the ODP statewide needs assessment and Fair Hearing and Appeals in the Northeast Region. Coordinates, facilitates and/or participates on local or statewide workgroups or committees as assigned. Acts as regional coordinator, lead and/or subject matter expert in assigned initiatives, projects or subject areas, providing direction and technical assistance to regional, AE, SCO and Provider staff. Attends meetings, conferences and trainings as assigned. Manages data through the utilization of computer software. Travels as required throughout the Northeast Region and Commonwealth to perform essential job functions. Prepares and presents Quality Management Performance Measure Reports in assigned area(s) of expertise. Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned. |
Decision Making: Describe the types of decisions made by the incumbent of this position and the types of decisions referred to others. Example: In response to a customer inquiry, this work involves researching the status of an activity and preparing a formal response for the supervisor’s signature. PProvides consultative services, training and oversight to AEs, SCOs, and Provider agencies on assigned subject areas. Conducts monitoring activities such as record reviews, on-site observations and interviews and submits findings to supervisor. Completes assigned written reports and reviews the findings with supervisor before submission. Provides clarification and interpretation of ODP regulations, waivers, bulletins and policies as requested. Written interpretations are submitted to the supervisor and program manager for approval prior to dissemination. |
