Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

The Fiscal Technician will provide clerical-accounting assistance with projects related to workforce development initiatives with Trade Adjustment Assistance Act (TAA), Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and State funds.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

Report CWDS and TFS data fix entries as required. Attends design sessions with OIT staff as they relate to CWDS enhancements and features. This includes data testing for payment processes prior to the release data.

Reviews, calculates, and approves non-local invoices based upon set procedures and submitted supporting documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations. If warranted, seeks supervisory level review and approval for any questionable costs before processing.

Accurately and efficiently reviews correspondence and invoices and inputs invoice and Financial Status Report (FSR) data into the CWDS WIOA system as defined in the Non-Local Invoice procedures.

Accesses and uses CWDS and SAP as operationally necessary.

Prepares and/or assists in preparation of routine reports and correspondence.

Maintains detailed records for Non-Local Invoice activities.

Participates in staff meetings as requested by supervisor.

Maintains program knowledge of workforce development programs through reading, research, and meetings.

Maintains ongoing communication with supervisor on all work activities, time frames, identified problems, and recommended solutions through reports, scheduled staff meetings, and informal discussions.
