Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

Responsible for the direct line of communication between subordinates and the unit supervisor and manager. Maintains workflow and distributing assignments as required, as well as the training of all employees under the unit supervisor.

Responsible for processing Ignition Interlock Limited License (IILL) petitions, as well as, assigned work for customers under suspension, revocation, disqualification and/or cancellation who are attempting to restore their driving privileges by complying with requirements as mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Vehicle Code (Title 75).

Ensures proper notification of and return of products and correspondence to the customer as directed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Vehicle Code (Title 75).

• Exercises independent judgment to determine eligibility for an IILL, which entails reviewing the petition and the customer’s driver record. If eligible, the processing of the petition, and, if ineligible, denying the petition.

• Performs data entry of IILL petitions and various types of other restoration work received in the unit. Updates Pennsylvania driver records by processing forms, statements, and other documents, received through the mail from customers whose driving privilege are suspended, revoked, cancelled or disqualified.

• Maintains an accurate log of work received. Mail work is to be logged in to the unit and distributed to the staff in WID sequence for processing; all other work is distributed by

2. Impact and focus of new and proposed legislation.

3. Impact and focus of new and proposed system and procedural changes.

4. Interpretation of mainframe driver records.

5. Suspension requirements and credit issues.

6. Interpretation of work policies, procedures, and rules.

7. Quality and productivity standards of the work unit and related unit training issues.

8. Training of PennDOT employees related to all aspects of Restoration processing.
