Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This position will serve as the Website Content Manager for the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) within the Marketing Division and Bureau of Marketing and Strategic Communications. The position is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, and managing content across the agency’s public website, intranet, online print shop, and mobile application to support the PGC and its mission. This role works closely with all Bureaus and Regions within the Pennsylvania Game Commission to achieve a functional website for key audiences. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. •Take the lead role in creating and managing digital materials to dynamically present new and fresh content to our customers and the public. •Manage the front-end content for digital platforms such as, agency website, intranet, licensing system, print shop storefront, and mobile application. •Meet with a variety of teams throughout the agency to plan, create, organize, manage, and approve site content, while designing and optimizing the appearance and useability. •Collaborate with vendors and state partners to support digital platform updates and user-facing design enhancements. •Assist with testing and reviewing mobile apps and other digital interfaces to ensure functionality and consistency. Proactively strategize web content, including an exit strategy for content to be replaced or phased out. •Create professionally written, well-crafted text and headlines to engage website visitors. •Routinely audit web content for quality assurance and make necessary changes. •Analyze website usage, traffic flow, and search engine placement. •Improve and modify the websites in response to analytics. •Coordinate deadlines and prioritize competing demands. •Optimize website accessibility to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. •Research industry trends, solutions, and best practices. •Write reports for supervisors and partnership organizations. •Work closely with the IT support staff for website maintenance and reporting technical problems. •Perform other assigned tasks as required. |
