Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. •Develop implement, and manage an outreach program to enhance landowner effectiveness of meeting deer management goals •Develop, implement and manage a Certified Hunter Program curriculum to upskill PA Hunters on efficiency, responsibility, property stewardship, marksmanship, and safety to enhance hunting skills and effectiveness amongst participants •Work with Landowners to understand current barriers and obstacles to meeting deer management goals and strategize to implement solutions •Develop and maintain a database of landowner participants and a database of Certified Hunters •Conduct surveys and solicit feedback to regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the programs and work to continuously improve each program •Create manageable growth strategies for each program to scale programs to a state-wide level •Work with internal PGC teams to assist in marketing, hunter access, hunter-education, and promotion of developed programs •Attend and speak at public meetings to distribute information about the programs to relevant stakeholders •Establish and maintain positive working relationships between the PGC and program participants (landowners and hunters) •Develop instruction materials and training aids needed to improve hunter-landowner relationships and mitigate hunter-landowner conflict •Act as a liaison between the PA Farm Bureau and the Executive Office. •Represent the Executive Office in meetings with elected officials. Engage with elected officials to answer questions they may have relating to the program and explain the details and goals of the program. •Perform other duties as assigned |
