Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. The Deputy Digital Director is responsible for managing the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission’s (PFBC) social media communications and messaging. This position manages social media activities and participates in planning and execution of all digital platforms and corresponding advertising and marketing initiatives. The Deputy Digital Director effectively communicates the PFBC mission, vision, and values along with the importance of PFBC programs across all PFBC digital platforms. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. •Responsible for creating, capturing and managing high-quality digital content, including but not limited to: video and audio assets, photography, creative graphics, digital marketing and advertising. •Develops social media strategies, and tactics that align and support the Commission’s goals and manage the Commission’s social media channels. •Develops comprehensive social media plans and policies, including creating and maintaining content calendars •Obtains and reviews user-generated content and responds to questions and concerns expressed on social media platforms by the public, partners, and other constituents during regular business hours. •Writes blog and other website content for multiple platforms and works in multiple content management systems. •Participates in strategic planning activities and completes assigned work related to the strategic plan. •Part of the content-creation team that originates and curates digital content to attract and inform PFBC desired audiences, and reviews, creates, and/or manages associated digital advertising and targeted digital media campaigns. •Pursues new and creative opportunities for the PFBC to reach unique audiences, expand its messaging, and work with new partners. •Works with internal and external content coordinators to achieve high-quality, brand-aligned content. •Ensures the creative vision of digital content is in alignment of the Commission’s branding standards. •Keeps accessibility and inclusion front of mind on all digital platforms (alt text, closed captioning, etc.). •Analyzes and evaluates digital strategies •Stays relevant on latest digital media trends and advancements •Monitors social media metrics to provide ongoing reporting •Performs related duties as required. |
