Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. Perform various skills in the construction and maintenance of Commission-owned facilities access areas, lakes, roads, parking areas, hatcheries, buildings, etc. Assist in labor duties and semi-skilled tasked involved with equipment earth moving crews, carpentry crews, or electrical and plumbing crews. Property maintenance of public fishing and boating facilities owned or assist in other improvement and construction projects. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Perform various labor tasks such as tree removal, pipe and conduit installation, guide rails and berms. Assist carpenters, electricians and plumbers in installation and repair of various tasks of these trades. Use earth tampers, operate pumps, skill saws, concrete vibrators, concrete finishers, generators, etc. Tend masons for block and concrete work. Help carpenters with placing reinforcing steel, building concrete form, pouring concrete and assisting in all building construction. Assist electricians in pulling wires, building backboards for equipment, installing conduits, manholes, finish grading and seeding work, etc. Operation of light duty truck and trailer in material and equipment hauling. Assist in servicing of machinery – including lubrication, oil change-type of service, tires, etc. Operation of riding mowers and weedeaters. Assist in mowing areas, police areas and dispose of trash. Hand cut brush and trees. Hand clean sewers and ditches. Assist in hand grading roads and parking areas. Assist with repair and crackseal of asphalt pavement. Assist in erecting signs and bulletin boards. Assist in painting existing wooden signs. Assist in building, installation and maintenance of docks and mooring facilities. Assist in building maintenance repair. Assist in various aspects of carpentry and plumbing Assist in forming, pouring and finishing concrete. Assist in forming and installing re-bar. Assist with field tile and erosion control for wet areas. Assist in removal of stop logs from control towers. Assist with related duties as necessary. |
