Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This position assists with the administration and implementation of the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s Hunter Access Program. The Hunter Access Program Technician coordinates with agency staff and private landowners to facilitate enrollment and participation in the Hunter Access in accordance with agency documents that guide the program. The position also provides support to the Certified Hunter Program. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. • Assist the Conservation Administration Supervisor in the assigned region with coordination and administration of the Hunter Access Program. • Provides Hunter Access Program outreach to hunters and private landowners within specified region. • Provides demonstrations of Hunter Access Program to the public. • Monitors regional Hunter Access Program resource account and directs inquiries to relevant staff. • Coordinates with private landowners interested in enrolling in Hunter Access Program to collect property information prior to visiting landowner. • Conducts site visits with landowners for executing agreements, delivering program signage, tree and shrub seedlings and wood products. • Creates and edits GIS shapefiles using ArcPro and/or the Hunter Access Program application. • Performs data entry of Cooperator agreements into electronic database. • Operates computers, mobile devices, and other equipment on a regular basis to gather and record data that is necessary to enroll landowners in the Hunter Access Program. • Maintains, records, and prepares planning and accomplishment reports on a regular or monthly basis as needed. • Maintains a safe working environment and reports all potential problems and unsafe conditions to supervisory staff. • Adheres to proper chain of command and completes tasks as directed by supervisory staff. • Provides support to the Certified Hunter Program Coordinator as needed. • Assists with annual seedling orders including taking orders and deliveries of seedlings, wood products, and program signage. • Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Functions: 1. Follow written and oral instructions. 2. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to large groups. 3. Prepare maps and written reports. 4. Ability to operate computers and mobile technologies. 5. Safely operate assigned equipment. 6. Learn agency programs to assist with public outreach and implementation. 7. Walk, climb, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, sit, stand, and perform work for extended periods of time. |
