Position Purpose: Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. The position performs clerical functions of the Road User Charge (RUC) Unit. This Unit will be collecting fees from registered owners of Electric Vehicles (EV) and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV). This unit will be creating and sending reminder notifications to registered owners of EVs and PHEVs who have not paid the RUC. |

Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. •This position processes all clerical work conducted in the RUC unit. •Updates of the vehicle list with RUC payments. •Updates of the vehicle list with updated registration expiration dates. •Performs maintenance on the list of registered EV and PHEV (vehicle list). •Creates 30-Day Reminder coupons, 60-Day Reminder coupons and 90-Day Reminder coupons for registrants that have not made timely RUC payments after registration is renewed or issued. •Creates Final Reminder coupons for registrants who are within 3-months of having their registration expire and have not made the RUC payment. •Processes RUC payments for records that fail to update through the high-speed remittance processing system. •Places stop codes on records that did not comply with the RUC requirement preventing registrants from renewing in the future until RUC is paid in full. •Removes stop codes to allow registrant to renew once required RUC payment has been made. •Actively participates in requirement gathering, planning, implementation of at least three phases on the RUC implementation. •Performs other duties as assigned to support agency objectives and operational needs.
