Description of Duties: Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor. Provides support to the Deputy Commissioner of the Office of Corporate & Financial Regulation in analyzing and assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of OCFR programs. Performs administrative staff assignments for the Deputy Commissioner in the development of OCFR policies, programs, and procedures. Manages examination vendor contracts to ensure effectiveness and evaluates for results. Represents the Department as the Point of Contact with the vendor(s) to address any issues or concerns. Conducts reviews on quality and timeliness of OCFR actions to identify any issues, areas of best practice, etc. and develops recommendations for the Deputy Commissioner. Reviews and analyzes Deputate licensing functions as part of the Governor’s initiative to reduce licensing timeframes. Analyzes and provides guidance on OCFR administrative procedures to include workflow tracking, records management, company billing, etc. to document and improve processes and coordination within the Deputate. Provides advice and support to the Deputy Commissioner on various issues. Duties include responsibility for carrying out a wide variety of high level and sensitive staff assignments in the development, implementation, administration, evaluation, and improvement of policies affecting the services provided to customers of the Department. Coordinates studies, task groups, and committees which cross program and Bureau lines to develop recommendations for Deputate and program policies and services which impact departmental programs. Evaluates and comments on legislative matters impacting OCFR and provides input and recommendations on legislative language development. Analyzes state and federal initiatives and determines the most efficient and least costly means of meeting mandated goals and objectives. Considers modern innovation and technological advances and prepares integrated plans to meet program needs. Performs related work as assigned. |
