Position Purpose:
Describe the primary purpose of this position and how it contributes to the organization’s objectives. Example: Provides clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. 

Participates in a 12-month training program that provides on-the-job and formal training in assisting higher level HR professionals in performing talent management assignments within the areas of talent acquisition and project management. Some assistance may be given in research and reporting designed to development knowledge and proficiency in supporting the Talent Management business needs of General Government client agencies.

The General Government HR Office provides HR support to seventeen diverse agencies some of which are under the Governor’s jurisdiction and some that are independent.

Description of Duties:
Describe in detail the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Descriptions should include the major end result of the task. Example: Types correspondence, reports, and other various documents from handwritten drafts for review and signature of the supervisor.

This is a 12-month structured training program designed to develop administrative and technical competence of commonwealth hiring processes and procedures for both Civil Service and Non-Civil Service positions.

•Develops understanding and operational support for the Talent Management Division in the management, research and reporting, with a focus on talent acquisition and hiring process needs.
•Assists talent acquisition utilizing NEOGOV for requisition creation, research, approvals, list creation and all aspects within the hiring process.
•Ensures PAR accuracy utilizing SAP and other resources
•Gathers information and data in response to exceptional pay increase/exception to pay rules recommendations for final review.
•Responds to basic questions/requests regarding talent acquisition items.
•Annotates NEOGOV referral lists for non-selected candidates. Moves selected candidate to hire, completes conditional job offer, and partners in submitting/coordinating Background Check processes.
•Participates in collaboration with Talent Acquisition analyst in conducting outreach and follow-up with agency supervisors and HR representatives regarding their talent management actions and assists in researching issues in conjunction with agency team members.
•Accesses and researches tracking tools to examine the status of applicant tracking and hire actions on an as needed basis.
•Drafts correspondence for review.
•Assists in creating, generating, requesting, and completes distribution agency complement reports on a monthly, bi-weekly, weekly, and ad hoc basis.

Performs other duties as required.

The trainee in this position performs the above duties and responsibilities via training, oversight, and general guidance from the Talent Management Supervisor. Day-to-day actions and assignments are performed with on-going communication and supervision by Talent Management Supervisor and other level HR staff.
